Vacancy Announcement for the post of Senior & Junior Interpreter

            The Embassy of India, Bishkek, invites applications from suitable candidates for the post of Senior & Junior Interpreter.

I. Tasks:

You will be part of a small team and enjoy a demanding and diverse job helping with the work in the Mission, which includes:

1. Daily translation of Kyrgyz/Russian News to English.
2. Monitoring of Russian/Kyrgyz news on Television, Parliamentary debates, press briefings, conventions etc. and prepare reports in English on the same.
3. Translation (Russian/Kyryz-English) for the officials in the Mission.
4. Liaising with relevant Kyrgyz authorities, local bodies.
5. Any other tasks as directed by officers from time to time

II. Eligibility:

1. Educational qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Russian or English language or equivalent vocational training and work experience (compulsory). Recognized Diploma or certificate course in Translation-cum-Interpreter from Russian & Kyrgyz to English and vice-versa (desirable).
2. Language proficiency: Speak, read and write fluently in English, Russian and Kyrgyz.
3. Residence status: Kyrgyz national or any other national with valid residence and work permit (a copy of valid residence/ work permit may please be provided along with application for the post).
4. Computer skills: Minimum MS office package and other IT knowledge of advantage
5. Experience: At least 5 years’ experiencein a field relevant to the job description like translation/interpretation from English to Russian/Kyrgyz and vice-versa for the post of Sr. Interpreter and at least 3 years work experience of similar experience for the post of Jr. Interpreter.
6. Age:28 to 45 years old as on 30^th Sept, 2022 - for the post of Sr. Interpreter
   21 to 45 years old as on 30^th Sept, 2022 - for the post of Jr. Interpreter

III. Our offer: The initial gross pay for the post of Sr. Interpreter would be US $ 553.50 with annual increment of US $ 43.5 and the initial pay for Jr. Interpreter would be US $  418.5 with annual increment of US $ 33.
