Celebration of 'World Hindi Day'

Embassy of India, Bishkek, celebrated ‘World Hindi Day’ on 10th January, 2023, as a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, marking the 75th Year of the independence of India. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Evgeny Kublukov, Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, Indologist and Acting Professor of International Relations and Oriental Studies, Kyrgyz National University.

2. The event was jointly inaugurated by Ambassador Mr. Arun Kumar Chatterjee and Mr. Evgeny Kablukov with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Both Ambassador and Mr. Kablukov addressed the gathering.

3. In order to promote the Hindi language in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy had organised Hindi essay writing, Hindi hand writing, Hindi poetry writing and recitation competition in which there was enthusiastic participation. The winners of the competition were felicitated on this occasion by the Chief Guest.

4. Some of the Winners recited their poetries at this event. There was a cultural dance performance by the students learning Kathak dance at the classes being conducted by the Embassy.
