150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi celebrated in Bishkek. Ambassador paid floral tribute at Mahatma Gandhi's monument. The event was attended by the entire Embassy staff as well as the Indian diaspora.
ITEC Day 2019-20
Student Outreach Programme was organised by the Embassy on 24 Sep 2019. The outreach programme focused primarily on the first-year students, to welcome them to Kyrgyzstan and to brief them with important aspects. Ambassador Dimri spoke to the students about their responsibility as Indians in foreign land. He also assured them of all possible support of the Embassy. Other Embassy officials briefed the students about consular and security related aspects. Students then interacted with the Ambassador and other Embassy officers over a cup of tea.
National Flag hoisted at the Embassy of India in the Kyrgyz Republic to commemorate 73rd Independence Day. The event commenced with hoisting of the National Flag by Ambassador Dimri and singing of the National Anthem. Ambassador Dimri also read out excerpts from the address of the President, H.E. Shri Ram Nath Kovind to the nation. Indian community and Indian students participated in the flag hosting ceremony and interacted with the Ambassador and other Embassy staff.
Embassy of India celebrates 5th International Day of Yoga in Talas. Governor of Talas graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Nearly 400 yoga enthusiasts participated in the celebration and performed yoga under the guidance of Professor Prashant Ayir, specially invited Indian yoga expert.
5th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in Bishkek at the iconic Kurmanjan Datka monument. A number of yoga centers and large number of yoga enthusiasts attended the event. Ambassador presented certificates to those who promote yoga in Kyrgyzstan. Local celebrity, TV-host and designer Assol Moldokmatova was a special guest. Yoga demonstration took place under the guidance of Indian yoga expert from Isha foundation, Professor Prashant Ayir.

The event is dedicated to 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Ambassador of India and Mayor of Karakol inaugurated the festival.

Ambassador H.E. Mr. Alok A. Dimri on Wednesday (20 February) met Mayor of Osh city Mr. Aitmamat Sarybashev. The sides agreed on developing mutual cooperation in various fields, including organization of cultural events in Osh city.
Ambassador H.E. Mr. Alok A. Dimri met with the Governor of Osh Oblast Mr. Jylkybaev Ularbek. The sides discussed plans for mutual cooperation. Ambassador also met with the Speaker of the City Parliament Mr Japarbek Ormonov.
Ambassador of India H.E. Mr. Alok A. Dimri is making familiarization and orientation visit to Osh oblast. On 19 February Ambassador visited Osh State University and met Rector of the University Mr. Kanybek Isakov. The sides expressed desire to develop closer cooperation in the field of education. Ambassador has also held meeting with the ITEC alumni.
